ICT GADGETS

ICT gadgets are those instruments that makes information transmission possible.  They are instruments through which information/messages are channeled from the sender to the recipients.

SOME ICT GADETS ARE:

  1. MOBILE PHONES:

This is a Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) that is held in the hand.  It is portable and it is used for sending and receiving text messages, pictures and sounds.

  1. THE FAX MACHINE:

This is a machine used for sending and receiving printed messages.  It is a type of scanner that reads texts and graphics and transmit them through telephone lines to another machine.

  1. THE TELEPHONE:

This is a communication instrument designed to transmit special and other sound s to a distant point by means of electricity.

  1. THE COMPUTER:

An electronic or electrochemical device programmed to accept and process data and give out information

  1. COMMUNICATION SATELITE:

This is a device used for transmitting radio wave signals from the air.

HOW TO CREATE AND SEND MESSAGES USING A MOBILE PHONE

  1. Select the message menu
  2. Select ‘Edit/Write’ messages menu
  3. Type your message after which press/select OK/SEND/YES key.
  4. Enter the destination number of the recipient(the person you want to send the message’s phone number)
  5. Thereafter, select OK/YES/SEND key on the person to send the message(s).

 

HOW TO RETRIEVE INFORMATION FROM A MOBILE PHONE

The following steps will teach you how you can retrieve an existing message sent to you, maybe such messages sent to you have been read and you can’t vividly recall exactly what you read and you want to make reference to such tex/message, all you need is to carefully follow the following steps.

Step 1:

Select the message menu,

Step 2:

Scroll and select inbox,

Step 3:

From a list of messages displayed, select the particular message you want to retrieve and press or click OK/YES or tap the message if it is an Android phone to read the message.
