ENEMIES OF MORALITY: IGNORANCE

The last topic for the term is enemies of MORALITY IGNORANCE.

IGNORANCE is a state of being uninformed. IGNORANT – is an adjective describing person state of being unaware. It is often used as an insult to describe individual who deliberately ignore or disregard important information.

When there is lack of knowledge, one is prone to several mistakes in life. IGNORANCE is dangerous; it can kill, emotionally and morally. It makes one blind that you cannot see what is coming thereby making you to make more mistakes and greater cost.

There is the need for one to well inform. That is why the scripture says in Hosea 4:6 that “My people perish for lack of knowledge. Also, the legal principle States: IGNORANCE of the law is not an excuse.

NEEDS TO LIVE MORAL LIFE

For one to live a good moral life devoid of ignorance, he or she must or need to:

  1. To know what the things God has revealed about himself.
  2. To know what to do about what God has revealed.
  3. To know the good things we must do.
  4. To know the bad things we must avoid. 

CONSEQUENCES/EFFECTS OF IGNORANCE

The consequences and dangers of one being ignorant are:

  1. People who are not well inform derails easily.
  2. It leads to making more mistakes in life.
  3. It makes one powerless. If one has knowledge he or she has power. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
  4. It destroys ones happiness and meaning in life.
  5. It increases consequences. Which is, the more you are ignorant of facts and ideas, the more your consequence increases?
