DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOME AND HOUSE

A House is a building which shelter people or family and their belonging.

A home is a house in which a family lives. A home is an abode or dwelling place for a family.

A home is the place where the family members can do things together such as:

  1. Share their interest, activities, joys, love and troubles.
  2. Can relax, and be at ease.
  • Live and work together for the benefit of each other and the whole family.
  1. Prepare food and eat together.

Family needs are met in the home through the following

  1. Physical needs
  2. Social needs
  3. Emotional needs

 

  1. Physical needs: the physical needs of the family are those for survival e.g. shelter, air, sunlight, rest, sleep, food, safety. Housing should offer safety for the family and belongings.
  2. Social needs: These include sense of belonging. The home should be such a place where family members long to go back to.

Emotional needs: the emotional needs includes comfort, privacy, a place of recreation and relaxation.
